Sensation
Sunday and Monday Madness-
This program is a great volume builder and may change a customer's
purchasing habits. The Marketer lowers the price of all grades
by either $.03 or $.06 per gallon for the agreed upon day.
Prices convert to normal the following morning. Signs are
constantly on display promoting the Sensational Sunday or
Monday Madness event. The Marketer changes prices at street
sign and at pumps, but not the pump toppers (New York State
only.) Long term impact of this program is tripling day's
volume, helping inside store sales and creating an image of
low priced quality gasoline.
Weekend
Gas Sale-
This program is another great volume builder and promotes
goodwill with all customers. We make sure the store owner
displays the gas sales sign outside. The Marketer reduces
prices on Friday evening and runs the sale until Sunday night.
We offer this program only at locations not using The Sensational
Sunday Program. This has the potential of tripling gas volume
for a weekend and increasing inside sales dramatically.
Holiday
Promotion-
This contest is a traffic builder and it's offered from November
through December 23rd. A customer receives an entry blank
with each fill-up of gasoline. Just before Christmas we give
away a large ticket item that
has been displayed throughout the promotion. Some examples
of past prizes include: SONY Playstation, Televisions, Power
Wheels Jeeps, Motorcycles and ATV's. Schmitt delivers the
assembled prize, entry blanks and signage. Participation is
voluntary and the costs are split equally.
Fire
Fighters Gas Sale-
This program usually runs during Fire Safety Month or at any
convenient warm weather time of the year. This program ties
you to the community and promotes goodwill. The store owner
works with the local Fire
Department to agree upon a convenient weekend to run the promotion.
Schmitt needs a three week notice to produce signs and flyers.
The Fire Fighters promote the event using signs Schmitt provides,
any community
bulletin boards and word of mouth. The gasoline location donates
$.10 a gallon for every gallon pumped during the promotion
weekend. This amount is split between Schmitt and the Marketer.
The Marketer cuts the check and Schmitt reimburses 50%. The
Fire Department usually pumps gasoline and washes windows
during the weekend. We can provide a oversize check for presentation
for a local paper event. We also provide flyers explaining
to the customer how they are supporting their community through
their gasoline purchase. We also included return coupon valid
after weekend sale. This promotion can have a large community
impact. The more the Fire Fighters do to promote this sale
the more successful it will be.
Easter
Bunny Promotion-
A traditional promotion at Schmitt, we give away a three foot
chocolate Easter Bunny at all participating stores. This contest
runs a month before Easter. We deliver the bunny, entry blanks
and all signage. The customer receives an entry blank with
each fill-up. This promotion is a definitely attention getter
and is sure to increase traffic.
Frequent
Fueler Program-
This program works well in rival market areas where local
competition will not let you competitively price your gasoline.
If run well, this program will change buying habits. We deliver
all signs and flyers with
fueler cards and punch-out stamp devices. The customer receives
$1.00 in free gas after 5 fill-ups, $3.00 after 10 fill-ups
and $5.00 after 15 fill-ups. The customer completes the back
of the card with name, address and phone number. Signature
is required to prevent fraud. The marketer mails cards to
Schmitt on a monthly basis and we reimburse 50% of redeemed
value.
Local
Event Program-
We will design a promotion to fit your needs. If the idea
sells more gasoline and makes sense, we'll do it. Schmitt
offers open format programs with everything you'll need to
run a successful promotion. (i.e. signs, entry blanks, assembled
items, flyers and ad slicks.) Locations with credit card readers
may use the scrolling screen to advertise all promotions or
store specials.
Grand
Opening- Gas certificates available, gas sale and give-aways.
Festivals
or Tournaments- Gas sale, donate gas to charity or event.
Anniversary
Sale- Brand give-aways, gift certificates or cross merchandise
with gasoline. (i.e. special price on product with purchase)
